Fibromyalgia Syndrome

About
A rheumatic disorder characterized by body aches, pain, stiffness, sleep disturbances and fatigue, as well as tenderness in specific sites on the body, that occurs predominately in women.

Notes
  • Make sure you are taking supplements for overall good health. If you are not taking these basic supplements, we recommend Enfuz from Vitabase. When you take a small packet of pills each day, you get all the basic nutrition you need. Each packet contains a multi-vitamin, CoQ10 (for heart health), Omega 3, Vitamin D-3, a probiotic, and a powerful set of antioxidants to help your body fight off disease.
  • Antidepressants and antianxiety drugs are sometimes prescribed to aid with Fibromyalgia.
  • Magnesium tends to be deficient in pain sufferers (Chronic) and chronic fatigue syndrome.
  • Need to consult a specialist for Fibromyalgia.
  • To help the immune system you should have plenty of plant sterols and sterolins.
  • To help with pain of Fibromyalgia you need to watch your diet and exercise and supplements. Using Aspirin and ibuprofen are not effective to ease the pain.
  • To help with the gastrointestinal tract a colon cleanse will clean the mucus and debris to aid in the nutrient absorption.
  • You should consult a doctor if you have persistent muscular pain and or fatigue for longer than 2 weeks.

Advice
  • A hot bath or shower in the morning will boost circulation and loosen muscles. A shower where you alternate between hot and cold water can be beneficial and may help alleviate some of your pain. Try relaxing in a hot bath to loosen muscles.
  • Avoid saturated fats, meat, and dairy products. They can cause inflammation and pain. They also contribute to higher cholesterol and poor circulation. Stay away from processed foods, shellfish, fried foods, and white flour (even in pasta and bread).
  • Chlorophyll tablets and green drinks are beneficial. Drinking a protein shake between meals can help ease muscle pain and boost energy levels.
  • Consumption of healthy beverages (steam-distilled water, herbal teas, vegetable juices) will help detoxify the body.
  • Exercise regularly. Try walking and gentle stretching daily instead of trying a vigorous workout three times a week. Muscles and joints will be kept more flexible and loose.
  • In order to strengthen your immune system and boost your energy, you need to eat a healthy balanced diet that is half raw foods and fresh live juices. Vegetables, whole grains (like brown rice and millet), fruits, soy products, raw nuts and seeds, deep-water fish, and skinless turkey or chicken are recommended.
  • It is better to eat 4-5 small meals throughout the day to provide your muscles with the proper steady nutrition they need. If they get the needed protein and carbohydrates, some of the muscle aches should be relieved.
  • Massage therapy is great for loosening muscles and joints.
  • Plan for at least eight hours of sleep each night.
  • Pomegranates and pomegranate juice help ease inflammation and provide antioxidants.
  • Remove caffeine, sugar, and alcohol from your diet. These can cause fatigue, poor sleeping, and pain. After removing these from your diet, expect a short withdrawal period of feeling worse. After that you will feel better.
  • See your doctor about possible thyroid problems.
  • Stay away from wheat and brewer's yeast until you feel better.
  • Use white potatoes, eggplant, tomatoes, and green peppers in moderation as they can contribute to muscle pain.
  • Wheatgrass retention enemas are helpful for detoxification. The enema consists of 1 ounce wheatgrass juice and 1 cup of warm water. Administer every two days for two weeks.
