Hay Fever

About
Hay fever is an allergic condition affecting the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract and the eyes. It is most often characterized by nasal discharge, sneezing and itchy, watery eyes. Hayfever is generally caused by an abnormal sensitivity to airborne pollen.

Notes
  • Make sure you are taking supplements for overall good health. If you are not taking these basic supplements, we recommend Enfuz from Vitabase. When you take a small packet of pills each day, you get all the basic nutrition you need. Each packet contains a multi-vitamin, CoQ10 (for heart health), Omega 3, Vitamin D-3, a probiotic, and a powerful set of antioxidants to help your body fight off disease.
  • Desensitization shots are available but are only effective for very few people. Dosage is weekly shots for 1 year and monthly shots for the next 5 years.
  • Magnesium is good for hay fever attacks you can take in supplement form or by eating bananas, soybeans, kidney beans, almonds, brown rice, peas, lima beans, molasses, and whole wheat flour.
  • Men with facial hair should was 2 times a day with soap and water to keep symptoms down.
  • Recommended for Hay fever is normally antihistamines.
  • Stay away from allergens by changing you lifestyle, diet, and mental state.
  • Stronger than antihistamines is steroid medication to suppress the hay fever symptoms. Steroids can lower the immune function.

Advice
  • Air purifiers and filters are beneficial.
  • Cleansing fasts are recommended.
  • Eat a lot of fiber. Fruits, vegetables, grains, raw nuts, and seeds are good sources of fiber.
  • Homeopathic remedies using Sabadilla and Wyethia can be helpful.
  • Horseradish helps with congestion and runny nose.
  • If you are not allergic to dairy (specifically casein, the protein in milk), yogurt and other soured products are beneficial. Try homemade yogurt.
  • If you need to be outside, morning time is best as the pollen is still settled then. Be sure to keep the air conditioning on in your car when you are out.
  • Pets should either stay outside or inside so they do not track pollen back and forth.
  • Since clothes and hair can hold onto pollen, it is a good idea to wash your hair and put on new clothes after being outside.
  • Stay away from anything that triggers allergies.
  • Stay away from junk food, sugar, white flour, cakes, coffee, dairy products other than yogurt, packaged or canned foods, tobacco, soft drinks, pies, and chocolate.
  • Stay away from tobacco smoke and alcohol.
  • Stay inside during allergy season.
  • Use a dryer or drying rack to dry laundry instead of placing it outside where it will get full of pollen. If participating in outdoor activities, you may wish to wear a mask or goggles.
