Hepatitis


About
Disorder that is gastroenterological. Occurs when the liver becomes inflamed. There are eight different types of hepatitis. Being able to tell which type of hepatitis an individual has depends on the cause. Most of the types, however, are caused by a virus.


Notes

  • Hepatitis C can be diagnosed with a blood test and an over the counter test.
  • Prescription drugs are available to help with hepatitis.
  • Silymarin has been shown to decrease the liver enzymes and alters the damage to the liver with hepatitis C.
  • Taking huge amount of Vitamin A for long periods of time causes damage to the liver.
  • You need to lower the iron levels in your body before starting any treatments if you have Hepatitis C.


Advice
  • Artichokes are beneficial to the liver. Artichoke extract is also helpful.
  • Be careful about condition of water and food when traveling.
  • Beet juice, green drinks, and carrot juice are beneficial.
  • Chlorophyll enemas used three times a week and held for 15 minutes are beneficial.
  • Consume steam-distilled water only.
  • Get sufficient rest.
  • Only prescription medication should be taken. Be aware of effects of medication on your liver.
  • Perform a cleansing fast, followed by a diet of raw fruits and vegetables for 2 to 4 weeks.
  • Refrain from alcohol, including propylene glycol.
  • Stay away from animal protein, shellfish, raw fish, chemicals, and additives.
  • Stay away from sugars, fats, and foods that have been highly processed.
  • Those with Hepatitis A should be isolated to prevent transfer of infection. Clothing and sheets need to be washed apart from other people's items in chlorine and hot water. Disinfect bathrooms (especially toilets and floors) used by Hepatitis A patients as their feces can spread infection.
