Nail Problems


About
Nail Problems may be indicative of underlying nutritional deficiencies. Look for unusual things in toe nails and finger nails. Fungus, ridges, white spots, dryness, brittle nails, white bands, hangnails, and splitting nails all indicate a lack of balanced nutrition in the body. Follow the recommended supplemental regimen to help promote healthy nails.

  • Women with artificial nails have twice the bacteria on their hands than women with natural nails. To keep germs down wash your hand with antiseptic soap for at least 15 seconds and dry your hands with a clean towel.
  • You can treat fungal infections with vinegar and water by applying with a cotton swab.

  • Another way to strengthen nails is to soak for ten minutes in warm olive oil daily.
  • Artificial nails can cause fungal infection and damage to the nail and nail bed.
  • Be sure to include plenty of good protein. And make half of your diet consist of fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Before trimming your nails you need to soak them to keep the nails from splitting.
  • Chemicals and detergents are bad on your nails.
  • Do not use nail polish remover very often it is bad for nails.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Never cut the cuticles it could cause infection just push the cuticles back.
  • Never pull out hang nails always cut them.
  • Stay away from sugars and carbohydrates (simple).
  • Take wheat germ oil daily if you have a hang nails and or splitting nails.
  • To keep nails from bending keep them cut short.
  • To keep nails from yellowing from nail polish wear a base coat.
  • To much of citrus fruits, vinegar, and salt can ruin nails.
  • To strengthen nails drink carrot juice, add royal jelly to your diet along with essential fatty acids, and spirulina or kelp.
