Warts

About
Unwanted growths that come from the human papilloma virus (HPV) are called Warts. The most common types of warts are the following: plantar warts, common warts, and genital warts.

Notes
  • Make sure you are taking supplements for overall good health. If you are not taking these basic supplements, we recommend Enfuz from Vitabase. When you take a small packet of pills each day, you get all the basic nutrition you need. Each packet contains a multi-vitamin, CoQ10 (for heart health), Omega 3, Vitamin D-3, a probiotic, and a powerful set of antioxidants to help your body fight off disease.
  • A Pap smear is recommended twice a year for women who have genital warts. These women have a higher chance of developing cervical cancer.
  • Bleomycin and Cantharidin are two treatments used by doctors to get rid of warts.
  • CO2 laser surgery and interferon injections are sometimes used to get rid of large genital warts.
  • Common warts can be removed if they become a problem. Fulguration, liquid nitrogen, and certain chemicals used topically can be used to get rid of common and plantar warts.
  • Consume plenty of vitamin C to boost your immune system, and thereby help prevent viruses that bring about warts.
  • Genital warts can be treated topically, surgically, or biologically. Each approach brings its own side effects.
  • Interferon alfa may help with genital warts, but it may be too costly to use for a lot of warts.
  • Plantar warts can be removed if they are annoying.
  • Salicylic acid can help with common warts. Antibodies, which help get rid of warts, may be developed in the body. The same effect cannot be reached with wart removal.
  • Warts are more likely to appear on someone who is taking medication to repress his immune system.

Advice
  • Dry genital warts completely if they get wet. A hair dryer works well if used on a low setting. Avoid rubbing it or irritating it. Refrain from sexual intercourse until fully healed. Cotton underwear is recommended.
  • Genital warts should be brought to a doctor's attention. Women with genital warts can develop cervical cancer. Ask your doctor about getting a Pap test.
  • Get professional help in removing warts. Burning or cutting them off on your own can be dangerous.
  • Obtain sulfur-containing amino acids by eating citrus fruits, eggs, asparagus, garlic, and onions. Taking desiccated liver tablets is also beneficial.
  • To get rid of unsightly common warts, try applying a crushed clove of garlic directly to the wart, but not on the skin around it. Place a bandage over it for 24 hours. In about a week, the wart should be gone. Another home remedy is to mix castor oil and baking soda into a paste and then use it on the wart every night, covering it with a bandage. It may take 3 to 6 weeks for the wart to disappear.
